Kimball House was recognized again for its oyster program in Atlanta Magazine's Best of Atlanta awards.

Decatur restaurant Revival won Restaurant of the Year in the 2016 Eater Awards.

Chai Pani, Kimball House, Revival, and Victory Sandwich Bar are all included on the “Eater 38” essential Atlanta Eater restaurants for fall 2016. 

Bon Appétit named Kimball House the restaurant that happens to be the best bar in town, and named Cakes & Ale's desserts a "can't-miss."

Popular ice cream shop Butter & Cream was named 2016 Best Ice Cream/Frozen Treat by the AJC. The Decatur Farmers Market won second place in the AJC's Best Farmers Market.

Cakes & Ale wins as the number one restaurant in Atlanta according to Atlanta Magazine. No. 246, Revival, Taqueria del Sol, Chai Pani, and Kimball House all ranked closely behind named Chai Pani and Taiyo Ramen (the re-branded Makan), the best restaurants in Atlanta right now.

Revival was named one of the South's best new restaurants by Southern Living.

2015 and Earlier:

Indian flavors in general, and Decatur’s own Chai Pani in particular, are called out as one of the top 10 emerging food and restaurant trends for 2015 by Forbes magazine. Read all about it here.  

Decatur restaurants made an outstanding showing in the 2015 Eater Atlanta Awards, claiming three of the six categories: Best Wine Program: Cakes & Ale, “. . . like the restaurant itself, smart, refined, and unique.” So Hot Right Now: Revival, “ . . . [this] shrine to Southern food opened . . . in July, and it's been tough to get a table ever since.” Bartender of the Year: Julian Goglia / The Pinewood, “. . . when he wasn’t tending bar or working on a burgeoning cocktail empire, he helped create Proof Old Fashioned Cocktail Syrup."

Leon's has been awarded the “100 Plates That Locals Love” distinction by Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Tourism division, featured in the state’s new culinary guide, Georgia Eats. Read more about it here.
