Keep It Indie-CaturDecatur announces the launch of a citywide, ongoing Go Local promotion designed to remind the community to shop and dine locally. The campaign will feature ongoing promotions under the slogan “Keep It Indie-Catur.”

The community submitted more than 250 ideas and suggestions. A committee of shop and restaurant owners selected their top four entries, which were posted online and on local blogs for public feedback.

The overwhelming favorite – Keep It Indie-Catur, which the tagline “spend your money where your heart lives” – was submitted by Dave and Talia Blanchard. Dave is one of the owners of Brick StorePub and Leon’s, and Talia owns Squash Blossom boutique.

Thanks to Lampe-Farley Communications, Inc., which designed the logo.T-shirts and other Keep it Indie-Catur items are available for sale at the Visitor's Center at 117 Clairemont Avenue across from the Marriott Courtyard hotel.
