In 2012 Southern Living named Decatur one of the top Tastiest Towns in the south. Local restaurant standouts include Cakes & Ale, named one of Bon Appetit’s best new restaurants in America with chef Billy Allin, a 2011 southeastern semi-finalist for the prestigious James Beard Foundation award.
